Maserati has expanded its India portfolio with the launch of the Grecale Folgore, priced at Rs 1.89 crore (ex-showroom). The company first introduced the Grecale nameplate in India in July 2024 with the GT, Modena and Trofeo variants. Now, over a year later, the Folgore all-electric SUV joins the India lineup.
On the visual front, the Grecale draws cues from the MC20, most notably in its low-set grille and overall front-end stance. At the rear, the boomerang-shaped tail lamps reference the Giugiaro-designed 3200 GT, working with the coupe-like profile and trapezoidal surfaces. Otherwise, the electric version looks identical to the ICE counterpart.
The Grecale Folgore is equipped with a 105 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup. Output stands at 542 bhp and 820 Nm, allowing the EV to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in around 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of roughly 220 kmph. The claimed driving range is around 500 km, and charging support includes up to 150 kW DC fast charging and 22 kW AC charging.
Alongside the Grecale Folgore, Maserati has also introduced its fully electric GranTurismo Folgore and GranCabrio Folgore. Prices for the GranTurismo Folgore start at Rs 3.05 crore, while the GranCabrio Folgore is priced at Rs 3.18 crore.

The Indian passenger vehicle Industry saw a healthy growth in October 2025 when it came to domestic sales, exports as well as production. The festive season contributed to positive sales along with the new GST rates which made most products more affordable that before. Cars saw a bigger jump than two and three-wheelers while exports too saw a decent uptick too during the month. In all 26,91,620 vehicles were sold in the domestic market in October, which was 4.1 % more than October 2024.
Electric vehicles also performed well during October.
Taking about passenger cars, 3,99,605 units were sold last month which is a jump of 15.8 % when compared to same period last year when 3,45,107 vehicles were sold. Additionally a total of 68,738 cars were exported which was a jump of 11.7 % Y-O-Y while 4,03,270 units were produced during the month which is 9.8 % more than October 2024. However these are not absolute numbers as data does not include vehicles sold by 5 manufacturers - Tata Motors, JLR, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo.
Two-wheeler sales were not as enthusiastic despite the festive month. In all 22,10,727 units were sold in the domestic market in October which was just 2.1 % more than the same period last year. Export performance was better as 4,30,035 units were sent out during this time which is a jump of 17.7 % over October 2024. It’s no secret that the newly unveiled Yamaha EC-06 shares its foundation with the Bengaluru-based River Mobility's Indie electric scooter. After being in development for quite some time, the EC-06 has now made its debut. Here, we take a closer look at both models to see how the Yamaha compares with the River.
At first glance, both scooters share a similar silhouette with wide body panels, upright stance, and chunky proportions. However, the Yamaha EC-06 comes across as the more restrained of the two. The biggest difference is up front. The River Indie’s twin-square LED headlamps are housed in a blacked-out front panel, while the EC-06 packs a single, vertically integrated LED setup that sits higher within a glossy black fascia.
The Yamaha’s front cowl is also sleeker, with sharper creases and less visual bulk compared to the Indie’s boxier face. Viewed from the side, the similarities in structure are evident, but there are differences. The EC-06 features layered bodywork, while the Indie showcases large, flat surfaces with minimal cuts or creases.
Towards the rear, the EC-06 sports a sleeker LED taillight positioned below the seat, flanked by compact indicators. The River Indie’s rear setup looks chunkier, with a rectangular tail lamp that mirrors its front design.
Yamaha EC-06 vs River Indie: Powertrain and Battery Pack
Under the skin, the Yamaha EC-06 shares much of it with the Indie. It packs a 4 kWh battery paired with an electric motor that delivers 6.7 kW of peak power, allowing a claimed top speed of 90 kmph, akin to the River counterpart. The certified range for both scooters is also in the same ballpark, Indie at 163 km and EC-06 at 160 km per charge.
In terms of equipment, the Yamaha EC-06 closely mirrors the River Indie, featuring a colour LCD, three riding modes, and reverse assist. However, one key area where the two differ is underseat storage. The Indie offers a generous 43 litres, making it one of the most spacious in its segment, while the EC-06 provides a comparatively smaller 24.5 litres boot.
The Yamaha skips a front glove box, offering only a charging port in that space, whereas the Indie features a 12-litre storage compartment. Additionally, the Indie includes practical touches such as rider foot pegs, a luggage carrier, multiple hooks, and other utility-focused elements.
A bunch of details about the Yamaha EC-06 are yet to be revealed, including its features, dimensions and specifics of the suspension setup, though we expect the hardware to be in line with the Indie.
Yamaha has not revealed the scooter’s price; however, it is likely to command a premium over the River Indie, which is priced at Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). We expect prices to sit between Rs 1.60 lakh and Rs 1.70 lakh mark. We will update this comparison as Yamaha rolls out more details on the EC-06.

Kawasaki India has launched the 2026 Kawasaki Z1100 in India, priced at Rs. 12,79,000 (Ex-showroom), the top-of-the-line model in Kawasaki’s naturally-aspirated supernaked Z series. Powered by a bigger engine, the new Kawasaki Z1100 receives quite a few updates over the Z1000. According to Kawasaki, the new Z1100 is the pinnacle of Kawasaki’s unique Sugomi performance and styling philosophy, packed into the brand’s largest displacement supernaked Z model with a naturally-aspirated engine.
The new Kawasaki Z1100 is powered by the same 1,099 cc inline four-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve, liquid-cooled engine as the Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX and produces 134 bhp at 9,000 rpm and peak torque of 113 Nm at 7,600 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed transmission with an assist and slipper clutch. According to Kawasaki, the inline-four engine has been tuned for stronger low to mid-range response as well as sharp throttle control, ensuring seamless acceleration.
Built around a twin-tube aluminium frame, the Z1100 has a kerb weight of 221 kg, with a 815 mm seat height and 125 mm ground clearance. Kawasaki claims fuel consumption figures of 17.8 kmpl, and with a 17-litre tank capacity, that will translate to approximately 300 km of claimed range on a tankful. The 41 mm Showa SFF-BP inverted fork features rebound and compression damping with spring preload adjustability and 120 mm front wheel travel. The horizontal gas-charged rear shock gets rebound and preload adjustability with 136 mm of rear wheel travel.
The handlebar position has been changed, now becoming wider and further forward, offering better response to rider inputs. The addition of electronic throttle valves delivers more precise and responsive engine control, enabling cruise control and a standard bi-directional quickshifter. An inertial measurement unit (IMU) powers a long list of rider aid electronic tech, including traction control, ABS, rear lift off and engine brake control, with cornering management function.
The launch of the new Z1100 marks the special milestone of 50 years of the iconic Z legacy which began in 1972 with the introduction of the Kawasaki Z1. Kawasaki says the 2026 Kawasaki Z1100 is a continuation of that philosophy, underscoring groundbreaking performance, reliability and bold styling.

The much-anticipated second-gen Kia Seltos SUV will make its global debut on December 10. The compact SUV has been undergoing extensive testing both in India and in other international markets, with images of the test mules suggesting some radical design changes.
The second-gen Seltos is expected to follow Kia’s latest design language seen on the recently unveiled Telluride. Spy images of test mules have revealed that the SUV will get a rather squared off look up front with a flattish bonnet, rectangular grille and a split headlamp design with vertically oriented daytime running lamps. The front bumper looks to get a chunky lower section, which is likely to house a faux skid plate element to add some muscle to the design.
Other notable design elements include prominent squared-out fender flares, a large glass house and what look to be connected tail lamps around the back.
As for the cabin, spy images have suggested that it will get dual-tone upholstery options, along with a following a new seat design likely aimed at making it more comfortable for occupants. Expect the dashboard to share design elements with other newer Kia cars, with elements such as twin free-standing displays housed with a single bezel, a layered dashboard design and sparing use of physical switchgear on the centre console for a clean and minimalist look.
In terms of features, Kia could carry over a lot of the bells and whistles of the current-gen model to the new SUV, including connected car features, ADAS tech, ventilated seats, powered driver seat and more. The new model could also further expand the feature offering with more comprehensive connected functions & ADAS features, a powered co-driver seat and more.
Moving to the powertrain options, the new-gen SUV is likely to retain petrol and diesel engine options for the Indian market, though the big news is expected to be the debut of a hybrid powertrain for the Indian market. Kia, in its Annual Investor Day back in April 2025, confirmed that a Seltos hybrid was in the works, as well as revealed plans to launch hybrid cars in India. The company at the time revealed plans to have hybrid electric vehicles account for up to 30 percent of its sales in the Indian market by 2030.
As for an India launch, expect the new-gen Seltos to officially be launched sometime in 2026, with the SUV set to be locally manufactured just like its predecessor.
Porsche has launched the new-gen 992.2 911 Turbo S in India with a price tag of Rs 3.8 crore (ex-showroom, and of course without the personalisation). It’s the most powerful road-going 911 to date and is available in India in the standard Coupe guise but with the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur personalisation scheme. Deliveries are set to commence next year.
Powering it is the 3.6-litre flat-six turbocharged hybrid powertrain like the GTS. But it gains an extra e-turbocharger, resulting in 711bhp and 800Nm. Compared to the outgoing Turbo S, it makes 60bhp more. There’s all-wheel drive to keep all the power in check, and it is channelled through an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic. The claimed 0- 100 kmph time is a staggering 2.5 seconds, and it can clock 0-200 kmph in 8.4 seconds, with a top speed of 322 kmph. What’s more, it has clocked the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife with a lap time of 7:03.92 minutes.
Being a Turbo, the tell-tale sign is the air vent behind the doors on the rear wheel arches. Adding to its drama is the petite spoiler at the back and large 420mm/410mm front/rear carbon ceramic disc brakes, a lightweight sports exhaust system with a titanium muffler. It also wears a central-nut locking 21-inch wheels and active air diffusers. The cabin is new and gets all the new-age creature comforts.

Yamaha Motor India has finally launched the XSR155 at an introductory price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle has been one of the most-awaited launches from Yamaha, as it shares its underpinnings and components with the R15 and MT-15. Let’s take a closer look at the newest Yamaha on the block.
On the equipment front, the motorcycle offers dual-channel ABS and traction control as standard.
The circular LCD instrument console includes Bluetooth connectivity via Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, offering features like call alerts, ride data, and maintenance notifications.
Weighing 137 kg (kerb), the XSR155 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres.
Tata Motors will finally add petrol variants to the Harrier and Safari ranges, years after the original reports of the two SUVs getting the engine option. Since their inception, the current-gen Harrier and Safari have been diesel-only SUVs with standard front-wheel drive, with the Harrier only recently getting an all-electric derivative.
As for the engine of choice, it is likely to be the same 1.5-litre turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection (T-GDI) mill that Tata unveiled at the Auto Expo back in 2023. The carmaker at the time had unveiled two units as part of its all-new Hyperion series - a 1.2-litre three-cylinder mill and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit. The former was good for 123 bhp and 225 Nm while the latter developed a notably stronger 168bhp and 280Nm - similar power as the 2.0-litre diesel but down on torque.
The 1.5 T-GDI unit would make perfect sense for the large SUV siblings, with the numbers on paper suggesting good levels of performance could be offered. The unit is expected to be paired with both manual and automatic gearbox options, the same as with the diesel. It, however, remains to be seen if the unit in the Harrier and Safari will make identical levels of power or if the company might have retuned the engine for a stronger output to better match the likes of the Mahindra XUV 700 petrol. The Mahindra gets a larger 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mill pushing out a strong 197 bhp and 380 Nm.
Mercedes-Benz has shared the first look at the interior of the second-gen GLB SUV ahead of its debut next month. The new GLB will be an electric-only offering in the Mercedes-Benz stable and retain the 5+2 seating option of its predecessor, though there is a lot more tech to be had inside.
Mercedes has confirmed that the new GLB will get the option for the MBUX superscreen featuring a flat edge-to-edge panel housing three displays, including a dedicated screen for the co-driver. The central air-con vents sit at the base of the centre console with a floating floor console extending between the seats. A split folding bench seat sits in the second row while the third row features seating for up to two individuals. Also visible is the illuminated panoramic glass roof with embossed Mercedes-Benz logos. Mercedes says that a panoramic glass roof will be standard across the GLB range, with additional options including an electrochromic function allowing occupants to switch between opaque and clear and the aforementioned illuminated unit.
As with the current model, Mercedes says that the new GLB will be offered in five-seat and seven-seat configurations, with the second row featuring a sliding (optional in the 5-seater) and reclining function to free up more space in the rear. The company also says that the second row will also be more comfortable than the outgoing model, with more knee room and improved underthigh support.
On the tech front, Mercedes has confirmed that the second-gen GLB will get the latest MB.OS from the company featuring built-in 3D navigation, a virtual assistant and even Google Maps. The SUV will also feature a list of standard-fit driver assistance technologies supported by eight cameras, five radar sensors, 12 ultrasonic sensors and a water-cooled high-performance computer.
Focusing on the overall exterior design, the new GLB looks to get a similar profile as its predecessor though from what we can tell it gets a new fascia design in line with the new CLA. A large grille is visible near the centre of the fascia with swept-back headlamps sitting higher up, likely with a connected light bar running between them.
At the rear, the tailgate is quite upright and features what looks to be a connected tail lamp just below the glasshouse.
On the mechanical front, the new GLB EV is expected to sit on the new Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) platform - the same as the new CLA - allowing Mercedes to offer both single-motor and dual-motor electric drivetrains in the SUV. The MMA platform will also allow for considerable driving range on a full charge as well as supporting high DC fast charge rates - the CLA EV has a range of over 700 km on a full charge and supports up to 320 kW DC fast charging.

Following a teaser released last month, Kia has now unveiled the all-new Telluride ahead of its global debut at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show. The second-generation SUV gets a revised design and is larger than before, which translates to providing more space inside.
The new-generation Kia Telluride features a noticeably more angular and upright design compared with the outgoing model. At the front, the SUV adopts a vertical LED lighting setup paired with a broad, squared grille. The surfaces around the bonnet and fenders are cleaner and more linear, moving away from the rounded look of the previous Telluride.
In profile, the vehicle has a boxier silhouette, with straight character lines and large, squared wheel arches. The wheels follow a geometric design theme that matches the sharper styling language. The rear continues the shift toward vertical elements, using tall LED tail lamps placed close to the edges. Spelt-out Telluride sits low across the panel.
The cabin of the new-generation Telluride moves toward a cleaner, more horizontal layout with most elements aligned along a straight beltline running across the dashboard. A wide touchscreen sits slightly elevated, while the digital instrument cluster is integrated into the same housing.
The centre console adopts a recessed cupholder section and a set of physical switches for functions such as heating, ventilation and drive modes. A flat storage deck ahead of the console includes twin wireless charging pads.
Moreover, the X-Pro trim of the Telluride gets blacked-out elements around the wheel arches, mirrors and D-pillars. The fascia has a mesh-pattern grille and a squared lower bumper finished in black. Beyond styling, the X-Pro sports all-terrain tyres, increased ground clearance of 231 mm, and hooks at both front and rear.
Kia hasn’t revealed full specifications for the new Telluride yet, with details on its powertrains and exact dimensions remaining undisclosed. That said, because it shares its underpinnings with the Hyundai Palisade, it is expected to share a similar set of engine options, the 2.5-litre hybrid setup and the 3.5-litre V6.

Hyundai’s flagship ICE SUV in India, the Tucson, has been delisted from the company’s website, and its sales have been discontinued. However, there has been no official confirmation from the brand yet. The current generation of the Tucson was launched in India in 2022 and saw decent success in its more than three-year stint in the country. However, in the more recent past, the SUV saw dwindling sales, which most likely prompted Hyundai to pull the plug.
The fourth-generation Tucson, when first launched, created quite a stir with its bold design, feature-loaded cabin and all-wheel drive capability. It entered a segment which had the likes of Jeep Compass, Citroen C5 Aircross and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The SUV came with both Petrol and Diesel drivetrains, offering more versatility to the customer.
At its recent inaugural investor day, Hyundai India announced that it will launch a slew of new SUVs over the next 5 years. The next-gen Tucson could be one of them when the model gets launched globally. A hybrid model of the SUV could also make its way here as the hybrids form a huge chunk of Hyundai’s plans for India. The current generation of the SUV already comes with a plug-in hybrid option in many global markets, but it hasn’t been brought to India.
