Maruti Suzuki India has announced that it has crossed 50,000 units in electric vehicle exports. The milestone reflects shipments since the company began exporting EVs globally in August 2025. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara has contributed to this growth. The company exports the electric SUV to nearly 50 countries, with the UK, Norway, Germany, Japan and Switzerland among its key markets. The vehicles are manufactured at the company’s Hansalpur facility in Gujarat.

The facility recently expanded its annual production capacity to one million vehicles, becoming the first Suzuki manufacturing plant globally to achieve this capacity at a single location. Maruti Suzuki has invested Rs 25,288.7 crore in the Hansalpur facility.

Maruti Suzuki Exports

The company currently exports 16 models to nearly 120 countries. This latest EV export milestone adds to its overseas operations as it expands the global reach of its electric vehicle. Its export markets also include countries across Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, along with Japan.

According to SIAM data for September 2026, Maruti Suzuki retained its position as India’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year. During the April-June quarter, the company also contributed around 55 per cent of India’s overall passenger vehicle growth. Other models exported by Maruti Suzuki include the Fronx, Jimny, Swift, Baleno, Dzire and Victoris.
