Norton has shown the first glimpse of its new 450 motorcycle, which is set to make its debut at EICMA tomorrow. The brand has confirmed that sales will begin in 2027, and the bike is also expected to make its way to India in the same year. Now, full specifications, along with its name, are under wraps, but the brand has been kind enough to share some details.
The design is quite different from what you'd expect of a motorcycle in this segment. It has a sharply sculpted body, with large side panels extending around the engine. The overall shape, particularly around the sides, appears to take some inspiration from the larger Manx model. The alloy wheel design is also from Norton's wardrobe.
The 454cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine makes 45Nm of torque. Norton hasn't revealed its power output. The engine is housed in an aluminium frame, which would make it a first in the segment. From the looks of it, the cycle parts include a USD fork at the front and what appears to be a monoshock at the rear. There are disc brakes at both ends and alloy wheels. On the features front, it gets an 8-inch TFT display.
Norton has not confirmed an India launch date, but the motorcycle is expected to be built at TVS Motor Company's Hosur plant. The new motorcycle is part of Norton's revival under TVS Motor Company. At EICMA 2025, the brand showcased four new models – the Manx, Manx R, Atlas and Atlas GT.
Norton will launch the 450 model in India sometime in 2027. Given it is a single-cylinder, it is expected to throw its hat against models such as the KTM 390 Duke, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and the like. However, the Norton offering will be on the premium side.
