The second-gen Maruti Suzuki Baleno has finally received a major update after its launch in 2022. The brand has launched the Baleno facelift in India at an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 6.10 lakh. For 2026, the Baleno gets a new face, a few segment-first features, and ditches the K-series 4-cylinder pot with a newer 3-cylinder Z-series engine borrowed from the Swift.

At the front, The Baleno now gets a larger grille, which also houses the radar sensor for its new ADAS system.
The Suzuki logo has been moved from the grille to bonnet line, while the bumper has been redesigned to fit in the larger grille. The fog lamp housings have also received a new design.
The 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and tail-lights have also been carried over from the outgoing model.
Maruti has also added a new Enigmatic Teal paint shade to the Baleno. The new colour appears to be slightly darker than the Nexa Blue finish offered on the outgoing model.
The cabin remains largely familiar, although the dashboard now gets a more flowing layout. The 9-inch infotainment system continues, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while TPMS is also offered.
Other features include a head-up display, automatic climate control and a 360-degree camera. On higher variants, it also gets cooled wireless charging pad, a Clarion-branded audio system and ventilated front seats, with the latter being a segment-first feature.
The biggest feature addition is the Level 2 ADAS suite. It brings adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, lane-keep assist and high-beam assist to the Baleno, making it the second Maruti model after the Victoris to get L2 ADAS.
Under the hood, the Baleno has moved away from the older 1.2-litre four-cylinder K-Series engine. It now gets a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-Series engine in both petrol and petrol-CNG forms. The petrol version produces 81 bhp and 112 Nm, while the CNG version develops 69 bhp and 102 Nm.
Fuel efficiency is rated at 23.80 kpl for the petrol-manual, 24.77 kpl for the petrol-AMT and 33.61 km/kg for the CNG-manual.
