Hero MotoCorp’s Italy launch marks the company’s 49th international market, and distribution in Italy will be handled by Pelpi International, one of the country’s largest two-wheeler distributors, with a network of over 160 dealers. Initially, Hero motorcycles will be available in key cities across 36 dealerships, with plans to expand to 54 in the coming months.

The Hero Hunk 440 is essentially a rebadged version of the now-discontinued Mavrick 440 with a slightly different looking exhaust and gold-anodised KYB upside-down front fork, but with the same chassis and engine. Other updates expected is a full-colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. The single-cylinder 440 cc engine is shared with the made-in-India Harley-Davidson X440 and makes 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 36 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm.

As part of its launch in Italy, Hero MotoCorp is offering a five-year warranty on its products – a standard three-year warranty, extended by an additional two years for the launch. The Hero Hunk 440 may be an export-only model, considering the Hunk name has long been discontinued for the domestic market. The Mavrick 440 has been received widespread acclaim in India but failed to become commercially successful.

Opinion: Will The Yamaha NMax 155 Be Launched In India?

Yamaha India is getting ready for a product launch on November 11, 2025. There’s been a lot of buzz and speculation that Yamaha will launch two 155cc motorcycles – one being the much-anticipated Yamaha XSR 155 and the second one being the dual-sport WR155. Reports of both bikes spotted on test on Indian roads have surfaced online, leading to speculation that India Yamaha may launch not one, but both these bikes. Will Yamaha really launch these two 155cc bikes or is there something else in the works? We look at the possibilities, and one of the most likely launches will be the Yamaha NMax 155.

While the XSR155 is a possibility, considering the amount of consumer interest around it, the WR155 may not be launched in India. The spy shots of the bike spotted on Indian roads may be of an individual import rather than an actual test mule. But what is more likely to be launched and showcased at the Yamaha even on November 11 will perhaps be not one, but multiple products. car&bike has learnt that Yamaha will not just showcase new products but also roll out its future roadmap and product strategy at the event, focussing on mass-market offerings, as well as venturing into new segments.

Yamaha N Max 1

The Yamaha NMax 155 may finally be launched in India

Yamaha NMax 155

The Yamaha NMax 155 was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January this year and this is likely to be the new product that will be launched on November 11, 2025. Given the buzz in the segment, with new products like the Hero Xoom 160 in this segment, Yamaha may finally bring its 155cc maxi-scooter to India. And it won’t be difficult. The NMax 155 is a sibling to the Aerox 155 sold in India, and has been quite a popular product in South East Asian markets. We at car&bike feel that the Yamaha NMax 155 has the potential to shake up the scooter segment in India, and this is the product that is likely to be launched at Yamaha’s upcoming event.

Upcoming River Indie Based Yamaha Electric Scooter Spotted Testing

The Yamaha event will also focus on future mobility segments and finally, Yamaha’s made-in-India electric scooter, based on the River Indie could finally be showcased in production form. The Yamaha electric scooter has been spotted undergoing test runs on Indian roads, and finally, we may get to see what it will look like in production form at the Yamaha event on November 11. The new electric scooter is expected to share its underpinnings and powertrain with the River Indie, and will be Yamaha’s first electric scooter for India.

Yamaha XSR 155

The Yamaha XSR 155 has generated a lot of consumer interest in India for several years now. While Yamaha has not showcased this model at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, there’s a possibility that the XSR 155 may finally be launched in India, primarily due to the massive consumer interest and given the fact that this will be a mass-market product for India Yamaha, and if priced right, could get in significant volumes for the brand.

Yamaha Lander XTZ 250

Another possibility is the Yamaha Lander XTZ 250 which was also showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Considering the popularity of the 200-250cc dual-sport segment in India, with the likes of the Hero XPulse 210 and the Kawasaki KLX 230 already getting a lot of consumer attention, Yamaha may be looking to enter this segment for the first time, although it’s unclear at this stage, if the same model is being considered or if Yamaha is looking at developing an all-new similar model with a more modern powertrain and features. Even if the XTZ250 is not launched, it is likely to be showcased at the event to gauge response and attention for a future launch.

The Yamaha YZF-R7 middleweight sportbike has been showcased in India, and at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo as well. The R7 has been a popular model in western markets and is a likely candidate for India as well, underscoring India Yamaha’s premium motorcycle line-up. Based on Yamaha’s popular CP2 platform with its 689cc, parallel-twin engine putting out 72.4 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 67 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. If launched, the Yamaha R7 will rival the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Honda CBR650R.

Another motorcycle which is likely to be showcased at the Yamaha event is the Yamaha MT-09 which has been in the works for quite sometime now. We rode the Yamaha MT-09 in September 2024 in Japan, and it’s been over a year since then, without any news of when and if the MT-09 will be launched in India. While it may not be officially launched, Yamaha may once again showcase it at its November 11 event, with a launch slated for early next year. We have been quite impressed with the MT-09 during our first ride experience. It has a brilliant engine, superb dynamics and is a motorcycle full of character. Priced right, the MT-09 has everything to offer a superb alternative to the popular Kawasaki Z900 in India.

Toyota Century Coupe-SUV, 6-Wheel Lexus LS MPV Concepts Previewed Ahead Of Japan Mobility Show 2025 Debut

Toyota Motor Corporation has previewed two new concepts set to debut at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2025. The first is a two-door coupe concept under the Century nameplate with the second, an MPV from Lexus, suggesting that the LS nameplate could be revived in the future as a large luxury MPV.

First up is a coupe-SUV concept under the prestigious Century nameplate. On the design front, the concept carries over a lot of the Century’s SUV design elements from the boxy and upright proportions, quad headlights and tail lamp set-up, upright grille (though with a unique finish) and large wheels.

The coupe’s sportier elements become visible from the bonnet which features air vents to suck out heat, a sleek coupe roofline flowing to the rear lip and a B-pillar-less design. Toyota also looks to have forgone the use of conventional passenger doors in favour of what looks to be power sliding doors that slide forward to provide access to the cabin. And while at first glance it may look like a 3-door design, the concept features quarter-size rear doors similar to some crew-cab pick-up trucks and the Mazda RX8 to imporve access to the rear seats.

Lexus LS Concept MPV

Lexus earlier in the year announced the end of the road for the LS, the brand’s take on a flagship luxury sedan to take on the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-class. However, it looks like the LS name might not stay dead after the end of the sedan in 2026.

Lexus is set to unveil a new LS Concept at the Japan Mobility Show, but this time, instead of a sedan, we’re getting a six-wheel MPV. Lexus has provided a glimpse of the six-wheel LS Concept MPV ahead of its public unveiling, showcasing the MPV’s angular proportions and silhouette.

Design elements visible include a sliding rear door with what looks to be powered seats in the back, a heavily raked A-pillar, elements of the front and rear lighting and most importantly, a six-wheel layout with illuminated wheel centres. The MPV concept looks to feature staggered wheel sizes with large units up front and the rear quartet being smaller.

Here, too, no powertrain is confirmed, but it could feature either a hybrid or all-electric drivetrain.

Toyota-GR GT Likely To Be Showcased In Near Production Form

Toyota GR GT previewed

Another highlight at the stall is expected to be the Toyota GT concept - the Toyota derivative of the Lexus LFA successor. The company recently previewed the production sports car as part of a billboard advertisement in Japan with the same also visible on Toyota’s dedicated Japan Mobility Show microsite. This suggests that the model could be showcased in near-production form. Toyota has also confirmed that something big is coming at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon early next year, suggesting that the GT could make its global public debut at the upcoming motor show.

Suzuki E-VanVan Electric Motorcycle Concept To Be Showcased At Japan Mobility Show 2025

Alongside a couple of new electric cars, Suzuki will also exhibit a range of two-wheelers at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2025. Among the new two-wheelers on display will be the Suzuki e-VanVan concept, a fresh take on electric mobility for urban settings. The idea behind the e-VanVan, in Suzuki's words, is to fulfill ‘the wishes of customers who want to experience the fun of riding a motorcycle and the excitement of controlling it’, even despite it being an electric two-wheeler.

e-VanVan built to be a lightweight, electric city bike.

The e-VanVan takes its name from a Suzuki leisure motorcycle from the 1970s, and follows a similar approach in its design and styling. It puts a new spin on the minimal bodywork, single bench seat and fat tyres that typified the lightweight original.

At 1,810 mm in length, 825 mm in width and 1,050 mm in height, it is roughly the same size as a Honda Navi, and also stays true to the dimensions of the 1970s VanVan.

The concept features all-LED lighting, bar-end mirrors, disc-type wheels and a circular digital instrument cluster. A large battery pack sits within a dual cradle frame, and it appears the e-VanVan has a mid-drive motor, which Suzuki says will deliver performance similar to a 125 cc motorcycle. The concept also packs disc brakes at both ends, a conventional telescopic fork and dual rear shock absorbers.

The range update likely stems from a shift to a more energy-dense battery sourced from LG Energy Solutions. First Ferrari ‘Elettrica’ EV To Feature Quad-Motor AWD With Over 1,000 BHP, 500KM+ Range

With its 2026 debut starting to approach, Ferrari provided the first look at the chassis and in-house developed electric drivetrain of its first-ever electric vehicle. Codenamed ‘Elettrica’, the first-ever Ferrari EV will feature a chassis and body shell composed of 75 per cent recycled aluminium and will also be the first Ferrari to feature a chassis with a separate rear subframe.

Ferrari EV chassis 1

Ferrari says the Elettrica will have a compact 2,960 mm wheelbase along with short overhangs; chassis composed of over 70 per cent recycled aluminium.

Ferrari says that the Elettrica will be characterised by a compact 2960 mm wheelbase bracketed by short overhangs at the front and rear. The carmaker says that the design inspiration behind its first EV's chassis comes from the brand’s legacy of mid- and rear-engine Berlinettas with the front seats placed as close to the front axles as possible ‘to offer the purest dynamic feedback while also facilitating accessibility and maximising comfort’. While full details are still to be confirmed, the Elettrica is expected to feature a four-door design with spacious rear seats.

Ferrari EV chassis 2

The Elettrica will be the first Ferrari to feature a separate rear subframe; it will also feature a new generation of Ferrari's 48V active suspension used on models like the Purosangue.

Moving to the chassis packaging, Ferrari says that the Elettrica’s chassis incorporates a 122 kWh battery pack into the floor pan, allowing for a centre of gravity 80 mm lower than a similar internal combustion model. Safety has also been considered, with the brand stating that the front e-axle assemblies and shock towers have been designed to dissipate impact forces in the event of a collision, thereby preventing damage to the central chassis structure. Furthermore, the battery cells also take a more central position within the battery module and gaps between the module and the chassis sills help enhance protection for side impacts. Furthermore, the brand says that the design and positioning of the front seats have been done to help accommodate the battery under the floor while ensuring ample space at the rear passengers.

Moving to the e-axles themselves, the assemblies comprise of a pair of electric motors each, at the front and rear, with the front units designed to decouple in specific drive modes for improved efficiency. Ferrari states that the front axle is capable of developing up to 308 bhp, with the decoupling system able to disengage power from the front electric motors at speeds exceeding 300 kmph. The rear motors are the main drive units, developing a combined 831 bhp of peak power and up to 8000 Nm of peak torque. The front axle is capable of delivering up to 3,500 Nm to the wheels.

Ferrari EV chassis 4

Ferrari says that the in-house developed electric motors and inverters feature F1-derived technology; will give the car over 1,000 bhp of peak power.

Ferrari says that the e-axles are completely in-house developed and use technologies from its F1 powertrains that have been re-engineered for road use. In terms of outright performance, Ferrari says that the Electtrica will develop over 1000 bhp of peak output and will hit 100 kmph in 2.5 seconds and onto a top speed of 310 kmph. Range is claimed to be in excess of 530 km with the vehicle architecture set to support up to 350 kW charging.

Also read: Ferrari 296 Speciale, 296 Speciale Aperta Bring Added Power, Improved Dynamics

Ferrari has confirmed that the Elettrica’s three eManettino driving modes – Range, Tour and Performance. Range makes the EV a pure rear-wheel drive sports car with the front axle only engaging when required. The other two modes are permanently all-wheel drive. Also offered as Manettino modes that allow users to tune the performance based on road conditions with modes such as Ice, Dry, Wet, Sport and ESC off.

Ferrari EV chassis 3

122 kWh (gross) battery pack incorporated completely under the floor pan; will give the car over 530 km of range.

The electric Ferrari will also benefit from a new generation of Ferrari’s 48V active suspension, allowing for independent damping control at each wheel. Four-wheel steering is also confirmed.

Also read: Ferrari 12Cilindri Launched In India At Rs 8.50 Crore

Another unique feature on the new Ferrari will be a Torque Engagement System, allowing users to tailor throttle response and regeneration intensity via the paddle shifters. The right paddle will allow users to row through five different power and torque delivery settings, with the left paddle doing the same for the levels of regeneration when decelerating.

Ferrari says that its first-ever EV will have its own unique sound profile that will not involve piping fake internal combustion engine exhaust notes into the cabin. The carmaker says that its EV will feature a sensor incorporated into the rear motor assembly that - similar to an electric guitar - will pick up the vibration frequencies, amplify them and channel them into the cabin during hard accelerations to add to the driving experience.

Despite all the details, Ferrari is yet to officially name its upcoming electric vehicle, which so far is being referred to as ‘Elettrica’ - its codename. The Italian exotic carmaker is expected to reveal the production name of its EV early next year, with the car itself debuting sometime in mid-2026.
