Suzuki Vision E-Sky Electric Hatchback To Debut At Japan Mobility Show 2025

Suzuki has revealed its lineup of passenger cars, two-wheelers and other technology showcases for the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2025. The star of Suzuki's passenger car exhibits at the show will be the Vision E-Sky, a concept that previews an upcoming electric hatchback from the Japanese carmaker. The production version of the Vision E-Sky will slot into Japan's minicar (or kei car) segment, with Suzuki confirming the E-Sky will measure less than 3.4 metres in length – a limit all kei cars are required to stay within, according to regulations.

Vision E-Sky appears to be an evolution of the Concept EWX showcased in 2023.

Back in 2023, Suzuki had showcased the Concept EWX, and the E-Sky appears to be an evolution of that show car, with elements that are more likely to make it to production. Unsurprisingly, the Vision E-Sky follows the established kei car template, relying on a tallboy layout to maximise interior space within a compact footprint.

Suzuki has revealed the Vision E-Sky is 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide and 1,625 mm tall, and confirmed the production version of the Vision E-Sky will go into production in FY2026 itself, hinting at how close to production this concept is.

Dual-tone interior all but confirms E-Sky is a close-to-production concept.

The E-Sky's interior, too, reveals this is more than just a flashy show car, with a fully-finished, dual-tone cabin housing twin digital displays, a three-spoke steering wheel with controls and a dash-mounted drive mode selector. The only thing from the concept that may not make it to production, perhaps, is the potted plant placed at the far end of the dashboard.

Tallboy layout will help liberate maximum interior space within a compact footprint.

While most technical specifications remain under wraps for now, Suzuki has revealed the Vision E-Sky will have a range of up to 270 kilometres, a marginally higher figure than the 230 km range announced for the Concept EWX. The production car is expected to have a battery ranging from 20-25 kWh.

Closer to home, Maruti Suzuki has announced it will launch four new electric vehicles by 2030, and has also confirmed it is developing strong hybrid powertrains for its more affordable cars. The company's first EV for India, the e Vitara, is already in mass production at the company's Gujarat facility, and is expected to be launched in the domestic market towards the end of 2025.

TVS Teases New Motorcycle: New 450 ADV Concept Or Something Else?

TVS Motor Company has teased a new motorcycle which is expected to be showcased at the 2025 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The teaser image clearly shows the TVS logo as well as mentioning the date of unveil as November 4, 2025 in Milan. What is not clear at this stage is what will TVS be showcasing at the EICMA 2025 show. We look at some possibilities which TVS may be working on to showcase at the international motorcycle exhibition next month.

BMW F 450 GS

The BMW F 450 GS has only been showcased in concept form

The first possibility is a motorcycle which will be completely new, and likely to be based on the TVS and BMW Motorrad’s partnership. At last year’s EICMA show, BMW Motorrad showcased in concept form its next-generation GS model, made in India by TVS, the BMW 450 GS, and it’s quite likely that TVS will be working on its own version of the 450 cc parallel-twin engine adventure bike. Considering BMW Motorrad’s production version is yet to be released officially, it’s only logical that TVS will be showcasing its own concept version of an adventure-touring model based on the same platform.

TVS RTX 300 leaked pics

The TVS RTX-300 will be launched on October 15, 2025

Also Read: TVS RTX-300 Launch Details Revealed

The second option is that TVS will likely showcase a new variant of its soon-to-be launched adventure touring motorcycle, the TVS Apache RTX 300. While the RTX 300 is going to be launched on October 15, 2025, the bike is expected to be more of a touring-oriented model than something with hardcore off-road ability. The 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel set-up will be road-based alloy wheels underscoring the RTX-300’s touring personality.

The TVS RTX-300 will be based on the new 299 cc RT-XD4 engine

Is TVS already working on a slightly more off-road oriented model based on the RTX-300? Something with wire-spoke wheels with longer travel suspension and a bigger 21-inch front wheel?  This is also a possibility. But even if TVS is actually working on a different variant of the RTX-300, it is more likely to be unveiled at the MotoSoul festival in December 2025, rather than at EICMA 2025.

2025 Mahindra Thar: Old vs New; What’s Changed, What Could Have

Mahindra has updated the Thar in 2025 with not quite a facelift, but more than a mid-cycle refresh. At a base price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Thar brings a few updated aesthetics, cabin enhancements, and much-needed features, while retaining much of the original’s mechanical DNA. Here’s a comparison between the old Thar and the 2025 version, highlighting what’s new, what’s carried over, and whether the changes are enough to sway buyers.

What Could Have Changed

Mahindra Thar 2025 5

Also Read: Updated Mahindra Thar Launched At Rs 9.99 lakh; Borrows Cabin And Features From Roxx

  • Powertrains and Drivetrains: The 2025 Thar retains the same trio of engines: the 1.5-litre diesel, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel, and the 2.0-litre turbo petrol. Transmission options (manual and automatic) stay unchanged. Off-road hardware, 4x4 capability, and mechanical layout remain identical.
  • Exterior Design: There’s no structural overhaul, which means the suspension, underpinnings, wheelbase, and key design elements are consistent. It could have gotten a newer face with tweaked headlamps/tail lamps, and a few tweaks to the body shell.

What’s New: Design & Styling Tweaks

Mahindra Thar 2025 19
  • Only noticeable change comes in the form of the body-coloured grille upfront, and a dual-tone front bumper — inspired by the Roxx
  • At the rear, the spare wheel mount features a rear-view camera. The rear windscreen now features a dedicated wiper and washer. The fuel-filler cap loses its keyed lock, replaced with an internal switch for convenience.
  • New paint options: Mahindra introduces two new colours: Tango Red and Battleship Grey. While the red was available before, the grey looks upmarket.

Inside: Cabin Upgrades & Feature Additions

Mahindra Thar 2025 17

Also read: Mahindra Thar Roxx Now Gets Dolby Atmos In Top Variant

This is where the 2025 Thar sees its most noticeable upgrades:

  • Roxx-inspired cabin: Soft-touch door pads, grab handles for easier ingress, and an armrest with storage and cupholders are new additions.
  • Rear passengers now get dedicated AC vents and a USB Type-C port.
  • Infotainment & connectivity: The outgoing Thar’s monochrome or basic screen is replaced by a 10.25-inch touchscreen supporting smartphone integration. A 65W USB-C port and a wireless charging pad are added. However, the driver’s instrument cluster remains analogue.
  • Ergonomics & convenience: Window switches, which were previously placed on the centre console, have now returned to their original location on the door pads, where they belong. The centre console also gets a repositioned handbrake lever as the space is taken up by two cup-holders.

Variant Range & Pricing

Mahindra Thar 2025 3

Also Read: 2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 Review: More Space, More Utility, More Features

Mahindra deploys a revised variant nomenclature: LXT and AXT. Prices span from Rs 9.99 lakh for the base AXT MT to Rs 16.99 lakh for the top-spec LXT AT in 4x4 AT guise. Though the base price may seem aggressive, top variants carry a slight price premium. This update focuses on what matters to modern users, but it was an apt time to get a proper facelift. Either way, this 2025 Thar remains a lifestyle vehicle which has a cult following but is reserved for a few.
