Ducati Diavel V4 RS India Launch Details Revealed

The Ducati Diavel V4 RS is a limited-edition version of Ducati’s power cruiser that is now the brand’s fastest accelerating model. The Diavel V4 RS is now the second model in the brand’s RS model line-up, after the Multistrada V4 RS, which boasts of technology derived from Ducati’s MotoGP programme to its road-ready models. The Diavel V4 RS features lightweight carbon fibre components and is 3 kg lighter than the standard model.

Deliveries in Europe are expected to commence from December 2025, and the Diavel V4 RS will also be launched in India. car&bike has learnt that the Diavel V4 RS will be launched in India in the second half of 2026. Considering the Multistrada V4 RS is considerably more expensive than the standard model, the Diavel V4 RS will also be an expensive model, possibly priced north of Rs. 40 lakh.

The V4 RS is powered by the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, shared with the Panigale V4, unlike the 1,158 cc Granturismo V4 engine of the standard model. The engine of the V4 RS produces 180 bhp at 11,750 rpm and 120 Nm of peak torque at 9,500 rpm. The Diavel V4 RS achieved 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 2.5 seconds making it the fastest accelerating Ducati model right now.

The Diavel 4 RS now introduces Race Mode for the first time, and once chosen, 5-inch TFT console’s layout is transformed to display track-focussed information. The Diavel V4 RS also includes Ducati’s latest rider aids powered by a Bosch IMU. Cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and launch control are standard, and with Race Mode, total number of modes are four – Sport, Touring, Urban and Race Mode.

The Diavel V4 RS is built around an aluminium monocoque frame, paired with a single-sided aluminium swingarm and forged aluminium wheels to enhance stability and agility. Suspension includes fully adjustable Ohlins units front and rear, and braking hardware is shared with the Panigale V4, with 330 mm twin discs gripped by Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers and a single 265 mm disc at the rear.

Extensive use of carbon fibre components, including front and rear mudguards, front fairing, tank covers, tail fairing and air intake ducts as well as a lighter battery have contributed to weight savings. The Diavel V4 RS has a kerb weight of 220 kg, 3 kg lighter than the standard Diavel V4.

Toyota Rumion MPV Gets 6 Airbags As Standard; Prices Start At Rs 10.44 Lakh

A few months after Maruti Suzuki updated the Ertiga with 6 standard airbags across all variants, its rebadged version from Toyota, the Rumion too has been given a similar treatment. In addition to this, the brand has also added a tyre pressure monitoring system to the top V trim of the MPV. The Rumion range starts at Rs. 10.44 lakh and goes up to Rs. 13.61 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

Earlier the Rumion used to come with 4 airbags in top trim.

 

Other safety features available on the Rumion include Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts. The MPV comes in 3 different variants - S, G and V and all get manual as well as automatic gearbox options. CNG is available only on the base S with manual transmission. While Petrol trims give a fuel efficiency of 20.51 kmpl, CNG model promises up to 26.11 km/kg.

GST 2.0: KTM 160 Duke, RC 200, 250 Adventure Prices Slashed By Up To Rs 20,000

KTM India has revised the prices of its entry-level motorcycles following the recent change in GST rates. With the tax on two-wheelers up to 350 cc reduced from 28 per cent to 18 per cent, models from the Duke, RC, and Adventure range have become more affordable. The price cuts go up to Rs 20,000, depending on the motorcycle. Let's take a look at the revised prices and the difference compared to the earlier rate.

MY 24 KTM RC 200The recently launched KTM 160 Duke was earlier priced at Rs 1.84 lakh. It now comes in at Rs 1.70 lakh, which is a reduction of Rs 14,000. The 200 Duke has also seen a drop, moving from Rs 2.07 lakh to Rs 1.91 lakh, which is a cut of Rs 16,000. Similarly, the 250 Duke’s price has been revised from Rs 2.30 lakh to Rs 2.12 lakh, a decrease of Rs 18,000.

The biggest reduction has been on the 250 Adventure, which now retails at Rs 2.40 lakh compared to its earlier price of Rs 2.60 lakh, making it more affordable by Rs 20,000. Adding to this, the RC 200 has also received a price cut, dropping from Rs 2.33 lakh to Rs 2.15 lakh, translating to a reduction of Rs 18,000.

In contrast, KTM’s 390 range and above will see an increase in prices under the revised GST structure. These motorcycles now fall under the higher 40 per cent tax bracket, up from the earlier effective rate of 31 per cent.

The SR 175 gets two new RS 457-inspired liveries, Matte Prismatic Dark and Glossy Tech White, which are accompanied by fresh decals to enhance the scooter's look.

The biggest change comes in the engine department. Displacement has been bumped up to 174.7 cc, producing 13.08 bhp at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

That’s an increase of 2 bhp and 0.7 Nm over the SR 160, while the CVT gearbox remains unchanged.

On the feature front, it gets a 5.5-inch colour TFT cluster, which is another new addition. It features multiple display layouts and a Bluetooth connectivity option.

The chassis carries over from the SR 160. Suspension continues with a telescopic fork up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.

New Hyundai Venue N-Line Spotted Testing In India Ahead Of October Debut

A short video of what looks to be the new Hyundai Venue N-Line has surfaced, providing a glimpse at the sportier derivative of the upcoming next-gen Venue being tested in India. The video essentially confirms that the new Venue will arrive both in standard and N-Line spec as seen on the current subcompact SUV, with the N-Line getting some cosmetic enhancements over the standard model.

New Hyundai Venue N Line spied

The video, taken on a highway at night, reveals part of the lighting elements of the upcoming second-gen subcompact SUV. This includes the LED lighting elements within the tail lamps, sequential turn signals, a full-width lightbar atop the front fascia and low-set LED headlamps. Elements identifying this model as the N-Line are the dual exhaust tips sticking out the back, and while the wheels are not clearly visible, they are expected to feature a sportier design compared to the standard model.

The video does not provide a glimpse of the Venue N-Line’s cabin, though prior images of the new Venue testing have revealed the presence of a large curved display housing dual screens atop a new look dashboard. The N-Line variants are expected to get sportier detailing over its standard compatriot, including darker upholstery colours, contrasting inserts and stitching and a steering wheel from the N parts bin.

Mechanically, the Venue N-Line is expected to only be offered with the familiar 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine offered in the current Venue and Venue N-Line. The unit is also expected to be offered in the standard Venue as well, with no notable changes to output or tuning. The N-Line, however, is expected to get a retuned suspension and steering set-up compared to the standard Venue, aside from a revamped exhaust. Gearbox options are likely to include both a manual and a DCT.

Hyundai is set to unveil the new Venue globally on October 24, 2025. The subcompact SUV will go up against the likes of the new Kia Syros, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO and the new Skoda Kylaq.

Royal Enfield 350 Motorcycle Range To Be Available On Flipkart From Sept 22

Royal Enfield has partnered with e-commerce platform Flipkart for online retail of its 350 cc motorcycle range. Models such as the Classic 350, Goan Classic 350, Bullet 350, Meteor 350 and the Hunter 350 will be listed on the e-commerce platform from September 22, with the option to purchase offered to interested buyers in five cities initially.

Post ordering, other matters related to sales, registration, delivery and after-sales services will be taken over by the customer’s selected Royal Enfield dealer.

The company had earlier in the month announced a downward revision in prices of its 350 cc range by up to Rs 20,000 owing to the implementation of the new GST 2.0 rates starting September 22. However, the rest of the brand’s larger displacement models, including the likes of the Scram, Himalayan and the 650 cc range, are set to get dearer by up to Rs 29,500.

GST 2.0 Effect: Jeep India Announces Revised Prices For SUV Range; Prices Cut By Up To Rs 4.84 Lakh

Jeep India has announced revised starting prices for its range of SUVs ahead of the new GST 2.0 regime taking effect. The carmaker states that prices of its SUVs have been reduced by as much as Rs 4.84 lakh, depending on the model and variant, with the revised pricing taking effect from Monday, September 22.

Starting with the Compass, Jeep has revealed that the SUV will be priced starting from Rs 17.73 lakh (ex-showroom) from September 22, down from Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Compass has been on sale in its current form for a while now in India with the SUV currently solely offered with a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with manual and automatic gearbox options. Select variants also get the option for all-wheel drive.
 

Moving up a segment, the Meridian - the larger three-row sibling to the Compass, sees its starting price reduced from Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 23.33 lakh (ex-showroom) - a reduction of Rs 1.66 lakh. The three-row SUV shares the same running gear as the Compass and is currently offered solely with a diesel engine, with manual and automatic gearbox options and optional 4x4 on the top-spec automatic.

Moving to the Wrangler, the Unlimited variant now has an ex-showroom price of Rs 64.08 lakh - down by a little over Rs 4.5 lakh. The Wrangler Unlimited was previously priced at Rs 68.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Jeep’s iconic SUV is also sold in India in a more off-road-focused Rubicon variant. Both variants share the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an automatic gearbox as standard. Differences between the two variants come down to the off-road hardware as well as some cosmetic elements.

Rounding out the listing is the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which also sees its starting price cut by Rs 4.5 lakh. The Grand Cherokee will now be priced at Rs 63 lakh (ex-showroom) compared to Rs 67.50 lakh (ex-showroom) prior to the implementation of GST 2.0.

Hyundai Confirms Entry Electric SUV For Indian Market; Debut In 2027

At its annual CEO Investor Day 2025, Hyundai confirmed the development of a new A+ segment electric SUV specifically for the Indian market. The company in an official statement, said that the SUV would be ‘the country's first EV designed specifically for local drivers’ with an ‘India-centric design and features.’

With Hyundai wording the new model as belonging to the A+ segment, we could be looking at a future Punch EV rival that is due to arrive in 2027. Further details on the model are unknown at this point, though the model could share its powertrains with the upcoming Kia Syros EV that is due to arrive in 2026. Positioning the EV in the lower A+ segment could help Hyundai avoid internal competition from Kia’s upcoming EV - a similar move as seen with the Hyundai Creta Electric and the Kia Carens EV.

Hyundai’s new small EV could be based around the Hyundai-Kia K1 platform that already forms the basis for EVs such as the Hyundai Inster electric city car in European markets. The new A+ segment SUV for India could be modelled after the European city car, giving it its own distinctive identity in Hyundai India’s range rather than being an EV derivative of an existing model. The Hyundai SUV could also share some of its running gear with the Syros EV to further economies of scale and keep costs in check.

MINI India has announced that it will launch the new Countryman John Cooper Works SUV in India on October 14, 2025. The JCW will be the first internal combustion variant of the new-gen Countryman to make it to India, with the SUV, launched in India in mid-2024, so far only offered as an EV.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has announced revised prices across its two-wheeler line-up below 350 cc, passing on the cut in GST rates to the brand’s customers. The bestselling Suzuki Access is now more affordable by Rs. 8,523 while the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 gets the maximum benefit of Rs. 18,024. According to Suzuki, the lower GST on spare parts and accessories will be passed on to customers across the country, who will benefit from lower long-term ownership expenses.
