VinFast Minio Green 3-Door EV Design Registered In India

As it gears up for the commencement of commercial sales in India, Vietnam’s VinFast has also registered design trademarks for some other models from its global portfolio, with the latest being its most affordable (and most basic) product yet. After the Limo Green three-row SUV, VinFast has now registered the design of the Minio Green three-door electric hatchback in India. Part of its ‘Green’ lineup of vehicles aimed at commercial-use buyers, the Minio Green is the smallest electric vehicle from VinFast till date, and is designed to provide affordable urban motoring.

The Minio Green is longer and taller than the MG Comet.

Measuring in at just 3,090 mm in length, the Minio Green is a shade longer than the MG Comet, but also narrower and taller, with a longer wheelbase (2,065 mm). It has a rather basic exterior, with pressed 13-inch steel wheels (devoid of covers) and flap-type door handles. The round headlights are LED units, but the plain, stacked tail-lights are halogen.

vinfast minio green 3 door ev design registered in india carandbike 4

Its wheelbase, too, is longer than that of the Comet EV.

The interior of the Minio Green is equally as barebones as the exterior. The dashboard is as basic as it comes, with no infotainment screen and only two AC vents towards the centre of the dashboard.

vinfast minio green 3 door ev design registered in india carandbike 5

Bare-basic dash lacks infotainment screen.

The Minio Green has manual air-conditioning only; entertainment is handled by FM radio (with two speakers) and the power window switches are located between the front seats. There is, however, a full-colour digital driver’s display. The rear seat is a bench for two passengers with dedicated cupholders provided on either side.

vinfast minio green 3 door ev design registered in india carandbike 6

Bench-type seat will accommodate two passengers in the rear.

At the heart of the Minio Green is a 14.7 kWh battery, that can provide a driving range of up to 170 kilometres (NEDC), but real-world figures are expected to be much lower. Peak power output is rated at 27 bhp and 65 Nm of torque, which means the Minio Green can only hit a top speed of 80 kmph.

vinfast minio green 3 door ev design registered in india carandbike 2

Range is rated at up to 170 km (NEDC).

Prices for the Minio Green in Vietnam start at the equivalent of INR 8.99 lakh, making it the most affordable VinFast EV. However, the VinFast VF3 – the smallest SUV in the company’s portfolio, also showcased in India – starts only around Rs 1 lakh higher.

Updated Citroen Aircross Spied On Test

Shortly after Citroen confirmed upgrading select models in its India lineup as part of Phase 2.0, the updated Aircross has been spotted testing in the country. The test mule was largely undisguised, with camouflage limited to the front logo and rear seat window glass. The minimal camouflage on the test mule indicates that exterior updates will be subtle, with overall design appearing largely unchanged. Although the rear was not caught on camera, expect it to be largely the same as the existing model.

The interior is expected to see the most significant updates. The spotted model features a brown cabin with contrasting beige accents. The three-spoke steering wheel appears unchanged, although the logo on it remains under wraps. Additionally, the door panels, dashboard and the centre console are covered in camouflage, making details difficult to confirm.

In terms of features, the updated model is likely to include ventilated seats, upgraded materials for the dashboard, seats, and door panels, a 360-degree camera system, an auto-dimming IRVM, push-button start, and keyless entry. A sunroof may also be added to the mix. The second and third rows of the test vehicle were fully covered, but we don't expect it to get many changes.

Updated Citroen Aircross SUV Spotted Testiting 2
The Aircross was the brand’s second model developed specifically for the Indian market after the C3 hatchback. Competing with the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, the Aircross offered the option of two or three rows of seating, depending on the variant. The model was launched in India in 2023 with the name C3 Aircross. However, in last year’s model update, the manufacturer dropped ‘C3’ from the name. This update also brought new features and added a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine option.

Expect the updated Aircross model to continue with the same set of engine options. This includes a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 109 bhp and 190 Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 81 bhp and 115 Nm, and is available only with a five-speed manual gearbox.

The current version of the Citroen Aircross is available in three trim levels: You, Plus and Max, with prices ranging between 8.62 lakh and Rs 14.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Citroen India’s 2.0 plans also entail upgrades for the C3 hatchback and the Basalt coupe SUV, along with the French carmaker’s aim to expand its network in the country.

VinFast Limo Green 7-Seat E-SUV Design Registered In India

Take a look at the newest SUV VinFast has trademarked in India. The Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) firm is already on the verge of beginning commercial sales in India with the impending launch of the VF6 and VF7 SUVs, but the company is likely to add more models to its portfolio in quick succession. VinFast has registered the design of a three-row model in India, which is sold as the ‘Limo Green’ overseas, mainly to commercial-use buyers.

Also Read: VinFast Opens First Showroom In India In Surat

The Limo Green SUV looks nothing like any other VinFast SUV. Overseas, the company has an expansive lineup, spanning the dinky VF3 to the range-topping VF9, but the Limo Green takes a decidedly distinct design approach.

vinfast suv design patent carandbike 1

While its face features a full-width LED light bar that dips towards the middle to form the ‘V’ like other VinFast models, it has a more muscular and rounded silhouette, which contribures to its chunky stance. LED headlights are vertically stacked low in the front bumper. The roof is taller and more upright than on other VinFast SUVs, and this full-size, three-row SUVis larger, more imposing and more conventional than the VF9, which is almost MPV-like – and somewhat polarising – in appearance.

Vin Fast VF 3

VF3 expected to follow VF6 and VF7 in India.

VinFast is expected to follow up the VF6 and VF7 with its most accessible model, the three-door VF3, early in 2026. The company recently began rollout at its first India plant located in  Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, which is spread out over 400 acres of land and has an annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles, which can be scaled up to 1.5 lakh units annually. VinFast has confirmed this plant will serve as an export hub for markets in South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, and it is quite likely that this new SUV – along with other VinFast models – could be produced in India for exports.

VinFast is expected to announce prices for the VF6 and VF7 in the coming weeks, with bookings for both models opened on July 15. The VF6 is expected to compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta Electric, while the VF7 is likely to be positioned as a rival to the likes of the Tata Harrier EV and Mahindra XEV 9e.
