Mercedes-Benz India has launched the new AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition in India at a price of Rs 4.3 crore (ex-showroom). Limited to just 30 units, the special edition G-class is a result of a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India to create a limited edition of the iconic SUV for India.
Starting things off, the limited-edition G 63 is offered in two new India-specific colour options - MANUFAKTUR Mid Green Magno and MANUFAKTUR Red Magno. Mercedes says that the colours are inspired by the colours of the forests and earth during the Indian monsoon. The SUV also gets a unique protective strip along the exterior with embedded insignia and ‘Collector’s Edition’ branding, along with edition-specific badging and a “One of Thirty” plaque on the spare wheel cover. The special edition SUV rides on 22-inch Tech Gold alloy wheels.
Open the doors, and the cabin is finished in a two-tone MANUFAKTUR Catalana beige and black nappa leather upholstery paired with open-pore walnut wood trim inserts. The highlight of the cabin, however, is the passenger grab handle that is made-to-order, featuring the customer’s name.
In terms of features, the special edition gets all the bells and whistles from the standard G 63, including twin 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment, AMG active ride control with adaptive suspension, new off-road cockpit display for the infotainment screen, 18-speaker Burmester 3D sound system, 360 degree camera and more.
On the powertrain front, nothing has changed with the familiar 4.0-litre twin-turbo AMG V8 continuing to push out 577 bhp and 850 Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels with Mercedes claiming a top speed of 240 kmph and a 0-100 kmph time of just 4.4 seconds.
Bookings for the new G 63 Collector's Edition commence from June 12, with deliveries to start in Q4 2025. The limited edition is only available to existing Mercedes-Benz Top-End Vehicle customers.

It is a known fact that Royal Enfield has been developing a bigger and bolder version of the Himalayan by using its tried-and-tested 650 Twins mill, as test mules of the motorcycle have been spotted on a couple of occasions in India as well as abroad. Now, for the first time Royal Enfield has released images of the Himalayan 750 (official name is yet to be confirmed) being ridden in Ladakh by the brand’s top management, indicating that the motorcycle is close to being production ready. The motorcycle was accompanied by the Him-E V2.0, Himalayan’s electric version, a prototype that Royal Enfield had showcased during 2024 EICMA.
Compared to the spied images, not much has changed in terms of how the latest iteration of the upcoming Himalayan 750 looks. It has a similar silhouette of the Himalayan 450 but is bulkier with a broader stance. The motorcycle features an LED circular headlamp with a tall windscreen followed by an ADV-style fairing that extends towards the large fuel tank. Other bits include a stepped seat, luggage rack and turn indicators with integrated brake lamp borrowed from the current Himalayan 450.
In terms of cycle parts, Royal Enfield has beefed up the kit with a chunkier long-travel USD fork setup at the front and a monoshock at the rear. While it isn’t confirmed yet, but chances are that the Himalayan 750 will get adjustable suspension. For braking, the motorcycle will feature a twin brake setup up front and a single disc at the rear. It will feature a 19-/17-inch wire-spoke tubeless type rims, hinting that the Himalayan 750 with be more touring-focused. For tyres, the motorcycle will come with dual-purpose rubber to tackle varying road surfaces.
For the powertrain, we know that the Himalayan 750 will be powered by an updated version of the current 650 Twin mill what will have a displacement of 750 cc along with a slew of changes internally to make the motor even better. While there is no information on the power figures, expect it be in the ballpark of 50 bhp and 65 Nm. Gearbox duties will continue to be from a 6-speed gearbox but with revised gear ratios and updated internal components.
Coming to the expected timeline for the launch of the Himalayan 750, we need to take into account that Royal Enfield will first roll out the updated powertrain with the Interceptor and Continental GT models first. Having said that, we expect the Himalayan 750 to be launched sometime in the first quarter of 2026.

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has announced that its flagship high-performance electric, the SU7 Ultra, has set a new lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The car completed the 20.8-kilometre circuit in 7:04.957 minutes, making it the fastest production electric vehicle to lap the track. Notably, this time surpasses those set by the previous champions, the Rimac Nevera (7:05.298) and the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT (7:07.55).
According to Xiaomi, the record-breaking lap was achieved on the vehicle's first timed attempt and was supported using an optional track package. The SU7 Ultra, revealed in 2024, is the performance-oriented version of the standard SU7. The name “SU” stands for “Speed Ultra,” and the model features a prominent front splitter, reworked air vents and fenders, dual bonnet vents, extended side skirts, a rear wing, and a pronounced rear diffuser.
Powering the SU7 Ultra is a tri-motor all-wheel-drive setup, developed entirely in-house by Xiaomi. The system includes two V8s-series motors, each producing 570 bhp and 635 Nm, along with a V6s-series motor rated at 387 bhp, bringing the combined output to 1,527 bhp. Xiaomi states that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 1.97 seconds, hit 200 kmph in 5.96 seconds, and reach 300 kmph in 15.07 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350 kmph.
It’s worth mentioning that in October 2024, a prototype version of the SU7 Ultra completed a lap of the Nurburgring in 6:46.874 minutes, breaking the previous record for the fastest lap by a four-door vehicle at the circuit.
In addition, the SU7 Ultra is set to debut in Gran Turismo 7, becoming the first Chinese electric car to appear in the iconic racing game series. The car will be available in an upcoming update for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

Maruti Suzuki is offering some notable discounts and benefits on its range of cars and SUVs in June 2025. Here is a look at the discounts being offered on the carmaker’s range of hatchbacks, subcompact sedans, MPVs and subcompact SUVs retailed via its Arena dealership chain.
The Brezza has gone on to become a popular choice in the subcompact SUV segment. One of the leading sellers in the segment, the Brezza is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 90,000. The Brezza is offered in petrol and CNG powertrain options both using a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The petrol engine also gets the option of a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
Benefits up to Rs 90,000
Maruti’s original tall boy hatchback, the Wagon R is being offered with substantial discounts of up to Rs 90,000. The popular hatchback is available with two engine options – a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol mill or a larger and more powerful 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol unit – both offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. The more powerful engine is limited to the top variants, with the 1.0-litre mill also offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit.
Now in its fourth generation, the Swift was the first Maruti model in India to get the new more efficient 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine. The popular hatchback is on sale in India in a choice of four trim levels – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+, with buyers also offered a choice of either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The Swift is being offered with discounts and benefits worth up to Rs 83,000 for the month.
Once the undisputed sales king in the monthly sales chart, the venerable Alto in recent years has witnessed a sharp fall in sales as buyers have looked to move more upmarket. In its latest avatar, the Alto is offered solely with Maruti’s tried and tested 1.0-litre k10 petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox as standard and also getting the option for an AMT. As with the rest of the Maruti range, the Alto also gets a factory CNG kit as an option and is Maruti’s most afforable car to feature six airbags. The Alto is being offered with discounts and benefits of up to Rs 71,000.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Benefits of up to Rs 71,000
Maruti’s small car sales in recent years has been on the decline so it is no surprise that models like the Celerio are being offered with heavy discounts to push sales. Now in its second generation, the Celerio goes up against cars such as the Tata Tiago and is offered with the choice of petrol or CNG powertrain options. The small hatchback is being offered with some notable discounts of up to Rs 71,000.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
Benefits of up to Rs 66,000
The S-Presso has also seen sales dwindle in recent months with the budget hatchback struggling to find traction with private buyers. The quirky styled tall boy hatchback is being offered with benefits ranging up to Rs 66,000 with buyers able to pick between petrol and CNG powertrain options depending on the variant.
The Eeco has become one of the default choices for people wanting a budget people or cargo mover. Popular in the fleet and commercial markets, the Eeco is offered with multiple cabin configurations from a seven-seater people mover to a cargo van and even an ambulance. Recently upgraded to offer six airbags as standard, the Eeco is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 41,000.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Benefits of up to Rs 13,000
The Ertiga has gained a lot of popularity in recent years in the Indian market as a comfy and relatively inexpensive people mover catering to both personal car buyers and fleet operators. Powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the Brezza, the Ertiga is offered with manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options and attracts minimal benefits of up to Rs 13,000 only.
Disclaimer: Discounts vary from city to city. Check your nearest Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships for more details.

Mahindra is set to expand the XEV 9e variant line-up, with buyers likely to be offered a choice of battery packs on top variants. The XEV 9e is currently offered in four trim levels – Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select and Pack Three. All but the top Pack Three trim get the 59 kWh battery pack as standard, with the 79 kWh battery limited to the fully loaded trim. Now, as per a recent type approval filing, the carmaker has included two additional top variants – Pack Three Select with the larger 79 kWh battery and the top Pack Three with the smaller 59 kWh pack.
This upgrade should go some way in making the XEV 9e more appealing to buyers, with the smaller battery for the fully-loaded model helping to drop the asking price for the Pack Three trim, thus opening it up to a new set of buyers. Similarly, the larger battery pack for the Pack Three Select would also offer buyers the option of a long-range EV without having to shell out over Rs 30 lakh for the fully loaded model. The new variants would also go some way in plugging the current near Rs 3 lakh price difference between the Pack Three Select and Pack Three. The former is currently priced at Rs 27.90 lakh (ex-showroom, excluding charger) while the latter is priced at Rs 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom, excluding charger).
Interestingly, type approval documents dating back to the time of the SUV’s India debut late last year show that the variants had been considered for both the XEV 9e and BE 6. Filings from December 2024 show the two models M110 (codename for the BE 6) and M310 (codename for the XEV 9e) offered with four trim levels – Pack A, Pack B, Pack C and Pack C+, with the latter two listed with both 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. This could mean that going forward, Mahindra could consider adding the new variants to the BE6 SUV as well.
Mahindra has witnessed strong demand for its new ‘Born Electric’ SUVs, with over 10,000 units delivered since deliveries started in March 2025. What makes it more impressive is that Mahindra has yet to commence deliveries of all variants of the SUV in India. Deliveries of the two SUVs have been undertaken in a phased manner, with Pack Three deliveries having started in March and Pack Three Select, Pack Two and Pack One variant deliveries slated to start in June, July and August 2025, respectively.

Tata Motors has revealed the number of complaints it receives from customers has gone down considerably in the last few years. In a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange, the brand shared that in FY2025, the total number of complaints it received for its products went down by 18 per cent when compared to the previous financial year. Additionally, vehicles with multiple workshop visits also reduced by a quarter in the same period.
The brand is adding more service bays to cater to increasing customer demand.
The brand has received its fair share of criticism in the recent past specially with respect to the aftersales experience its customers face. While 21 critical cities were identified in FY2025 and 700 bays added, another 25 cities have been identified for the current financial year with an aim to add 600 new service bays in those cities. Tata says it has also worked on workshop ambience and layout to ensure better lead times and customer experiences.
Number of vehicles serviced on the same day has also gone up.
Inconsistent roadside assistance and poor on-site vehicle repairs were also identified as key issues which resulted in customer anxiety and dissatisfaction. A new digitised roadside assistance and dealer-led on-site repairs have helped solving those problems to an extent. The brand says vehicles serviced on the same day has also gone up and so has consumer appreciation.

TVS has filed a design patent for a new electric scooter, though this time it's outside of India. The company has filed a design patent for a boxy-looking scooter in Indonesia, with the model likely to be a new affordable scooter which could be sold in select international markets.
The new scooter has squared off body panels with an angular apron housing what looks to be the edge-to-edge LED DRL strip. The main headlight sits on the front cowl, with a tall visor positioned above. The front wheel features a truncated mudguard. Down the sides, the scooter gets a flat seat and almost slab-sided looks courtesy of flat side panels. Around the rear, it gets a slim edge-to-edge tail lamp design again in line with the iQube, along with split grab handles.
Suspension duties look to be handled by a telescopic fork up front and dual shocks at the rear. As with the iQube the new electric scooter looks to feature a hub-mounted electric motor.
It remains to be seen how the scooter will be positioned by TVS and if it will be offered in the Indian market. Given the patent has been filed outside the country, the new model could be a region-specific model to help push sales in the market.
